Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, a designated Level 3 Medical Home, is the largest federally qualified health center network in New York State, and the second largest in the nation. Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager of Dental – Brooklyn.

In this role, the successful candidate The Dental Administrative Manager provides clinical site and network operations support for the Dental sites of Family Health Centers (FHC) at NYU Langone. They offer strong organizational skills, innovative and creative problem solving, and are able to work successfully and independently. They are expected to work in close collaboration with the Site Dental Directors and FHC Dental Leadership team to achieve the Centers financial and operational goals.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Clinical operations site support:
      • Directs and coordinates the day-to-day activities of the FHC under the guidance of the Site Director.
      • Plans, develops, directs and monitors initiatives to improve and maintain desired performance targets in the areas of patient care, clinical and financial operations, revenue cycle, patient experience, and quality performance.
      • In conjunction with FHC leadership, collaboratively responsible for implementing business plan components and monitoring achievement of benchmarks and goals and changing direction as needed.
      • Responsible for tracking and reporting operating and financial results and develops strategies to address unfavorable performance that promote achieving the centers desired goals and outcomes.
      • Collaborates with FHC Leadership and RED+F to ensure the safety and comfort of patients and employees, and enforcement of emergency action plans when necessary.
      • Oversees personnel administration and performance management with the human resources department.
      • Ensures clinical and administrative information systems operate effectively and collaborates with FHC Leadership and MCIT to offer recommendations that enhance the clinical operations and business activities within the Center.
      • Responsible for carrying out marketing outreach and health education activities to promote patient compliance and access to care.
      • Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations, including infection prevention and control protocols and Joint Commission readiness initiatives.
      • Resolves patient complaints and monitors patient and staff satisfaction.
      • Oversees scheduling to ensure adequate staffing
      • Time keeping, maintenance and sign off
      • Order, organization and security of all supplies and equipment, including preventive maintenance
      • Liaison between residents and clinical leadership and program director for issues associated with resident experience, including requirements, scheduling, and adherence to policies and procedures
      • Provides patient care coordination in multi-disciplinary cases, including pre-authorization of treatment as requested
      • Financial Management: Responsible for site financial management including development of annual operating budgets and participation in business development initiatives.
      • Performs other duties as assigned or requested by Site Director.
    • Business dental operations support:
      • Assists in the development of the centers vision and strategic plans, as well as executing the recommendations and initiatives set by leadership.
      • Analyze current systems and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and produce recommendations
      • Assess and track high-impact, business and quality measures across key performance indicators, disseminating results
      • Effectively communicate and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement changes, ensuring effectiveness
      • Create models and tools that aid dental leadership and site leadership deliver efficient, effective, and high-quality care in alignment with departmental operational and financial goals
      • Generate analyses that forecast growth and support data-driven decision making
      • Synthesize data from a variety of internal and external sources
      • Present findings with a compelling business story, supporting long-term strategic thinking
      • Works cooperatively with appropriate departments across the Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, NYU Langone Health System.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a B.A or B.S or 5 years of experience
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five plus years of progressive experience in ambulatory care, managed care, health administration or related field.
Successful track record in staff management.
Demonstrated success in working with dentists.
Experience with IT systems used in medical management.
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
Highly self motivated and directed.
Keen attention to detail.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
Strong customer service orientation.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
FQHC or Hospital experience preferred
Clinical experience (Dental Assisting or Hygiene)

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $66,415.19 – $82,488.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
